GAG Takes Times Square In Large Emotional Action

On November 11, 2018, Gays Against Guns staged a spectacular and emotional rally in Times Square in Manhattan in response to the Thousand Oaks Shooting, as well as the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting, the Tallahassee Yoga Studio Shooting, and the Kroger Supermarket Shooting in Jeffersontown, Kentucky.
Participants and bystanders alike made it clear that they didn't want to live in a country where there’s carnage from sea to shining sea.
Risking arrest, GAG activists including our iconic "Human Beings" - the folks dressed in white, each of whom will represent one of the people murdered in one of these horrific acts of unimaginable violence- put their bodies on the line and in the streets to demonstrate our FRUSTRATION and DISGUST that there has been ZERO ACTION at a Federal level to make us safe.
The message was clear: "WE DO NOT WANT MORE GUNS - WE WANT MORE GUN LAWS INSTEAD!"
GAG met at the U.S. Army Recruiting Center at 200 W. 43rd Street at 7th Avenue at 1:30pm, and from there marched to the TKTS RED STEPS in Father Duffy Square (at Broadway & 47th Street) with their Gilbert Baker Gays Against Guns banner.
