Join Us! Split Rock Gun Show | Aug 12, 2017 | 11 AM - 7 PM
Join GAYS against GUNS on our second trip to a gun show in Pennsylvania. We'll be visiting the Split Rock Gun Show at 100 Moseywood Road, Lake Harmony, PA. We'll meet at The LGBTQ Center at 208 W 13th Street this Saturday, August 12th at 11:00am, and we'll return back there before 7:00pm that same evening.

It's definitely not the easiest action we've ever done, because we are engaging with people we fundamentally disagree with. It's challenging to remain calm while being surrounded by those who may be hostile towards our message. But the benefits enormously outweigh the costs. We'll be bringing Human Beings as well as escorts for them, so please let us know if you're interested in participating in either of those ways. We'll also be passing out one-sheet fliers with statistical information in an effort to educate people about the facts concerning gun deaths in this country, and we hope to be able to engage in some conversation around that topic. But we are firmly dedicated to the principle of presenting ourselves as educational - not confrontational. We will not engage in arguments with anyone, and if we're asked to leave, we'll respectfully ask for a reason, but we will comply and we won't be antagonistic. You're welcome to wear street clothes or your GaG t-shirts if you'd like to participate in this capacity.
