GAG’s Hertz, FedEx, Wyndham Boycott Gets a Mention by NOLA Media Group | GAG in the News

NOLA.com, owner of the Times-Picayune and a subsidiary of “one of the nation’s largest media companies”, mentioned GAG’s “Cyber Monday” call to boycott car rental company Hertz, the shipping company FedEx, and hotel conglomerate Wyndham World-Wide because of the deep discounts they provide for NRA members.

The article, published on December 19, 2016 is entitled “FedEx discount for NRA members draws LGBT, anti-gun activist ire”. It covers a large Guns Down and other participants of a “coalition of gay-rights and gun-control activists…taking on FedEx Corp. for discounts it offers to members of the National Rifle Association, targeting the global shipper during the peak of the holiday season” and mentions planned “protests on Wednesday at FedEx retail stores in Denver; Atlanta; Memphis, Tennessee; and Orlando, Florida”.

It then singles out GAG’s work targeting “FedEx, Hertz Global Holdings and Wyndham Worldwide Corp”. for giving discounts to NRA members.” Also, mentioned were GAG’s “Bad Days at BlackRock Actions”.
