Signed More Pro-Gun Laws than Any Other Fla Gov | NRA Puppet Fla Gov Rick Scott | Building Background Knowledge
July 25, 2016
Another mass shooting has occurred at a nightclub in Florida in the early hours this morning. This one at a party for young people. Current reports are that 2 are dead and 16 to 17 are wounded.
Governor Rick Scott, a Repbulican, offered the same tired platitudes that any NRA puppet offers. That is "Thoughts and Prayers"
But this is to be expected when someone else is pulling the strings and a government official is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the gun industry and the NRA.
The NRA's Institute for Legislative Action published a story on its website in 2014 praising Governor Scott for his advocacy for the NRA and the gun industry.
The NRA-ILA which describes itself as "the lobbying arm of the NRA. Established in 1975, ILA is committed to preserving the right of all law-abiding individuals to purchase, possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution." wrote the following:
"A strong supporter of the Second Amendment, Governor Rick Scott has now signed more pro-gun bills into law -- in one term -- than any other Governor in Florida history."
So, it should come as no suprise that both Orlando and, now, Ft. Myers would result from putting money ahead of public health.
