Say WHAT? Trump You're No Friend of Ours

Any assertion by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump that he is a real friend to LGBTQ people or an ally to them in the blood sport of contemporary American politics can be discounted by a review of the facts.
The Human Rights Campaign has published a series of factsheets about Republican Party's 2016 campaign, its erstwhile candidates, and the GOP's ultimate nominee.
The factsheet for Donald Trump provides a point by point assessment of his positions on a variety of LGBTQ issues. These positions (inconsistent, murky or entirely missing) hardly qualify him as an advocate for LGBTQ people.
In introduction to the page, the HRC states:
"Donald Trump has been a consistent opponent of marriage equality. While he once said he supported protecting gays and lesbians from discrimination in the workplace by adding sexual orientation to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, more recently he expressed support for the so-called First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) which would expose LGBT people to more discrimination."
