The Nerve! Pols Who Took NRA Money But Tweeted Condolences to Victims
Large numbers of members of the US Senate and House of Representatives had the nerve to send messages of condolence to victims of the Orlando shooting via Twitter even though they had received sizable donations from the National Rifle Association.
Kate Stohr in her story "Here are all the Congresspeople who took NRA money and tweeted prayers for Orlando" at Fusion.net, provides a list of these reprehensible members of Congress and the amounts of campaign contributions received from the NRA.
Importantly, Ms. Stohr notes:
"The totals ...reflect only campaign contributions in the last cycle and do not include prior contributions or independent expenditures on campaign communication, which are often much greater"
